Saw an interesting movie last night: March of the Penguins. Pretty amazing documentary done by a French crew (and narrated by Morgan Freeman) about a year in the life of emperor penguins in Antarctica. Completely amazing story about slightly strange birds living, mating & reproducing in the harshest area on the planet. Incredibly anthropomorphic, the film was fun to watch — we’d recommend it to anyone. Great for all ages, too — we were thinking about taking our nephew & nieces.

  1. saw this movie and was amazed by the trials of being a penguin parent, but not unlike the dedication shown by parents of homo sapiens! I suspect you all will be watching more rental DVD movies over the next few years, but make sure that Sam doesn’t get into the popcorn!jim
